How do I join the beta?

Go to our beta signup page and follow the steps for your phone — iPhone or Android.

How do I sign in?

Open Muteiny and enter your phone number. We'll send you a verification code by SMS. Enter the code, set your display name, and you're in.

I was invited to a group — what do I do?

If someone added your phone number to a group before you had the app, sign in with that same number. The group should appear automatically — no separate accept step needed.

How do topics work?

Each group is split into named topics (short labels like “Game night” or “Pizza order”). Tap a topic to read and send messages in that thread. Tap + to start a new topic.

How do I leave a group?

Swipe left on a group in your Groups list and confirm, or open the group, tap Info, and choose Leave group.

How do I mute notifications for a topic?

Mute is per topic and only affects you. Toggle mute from the topic bar inside a group. Other members still receive notifications for that topic.

I'm not receiving push notifications

Check that notifications are enabled for Muteiny in your device Settings. Also make sure the topic isn't muted and that you're signed in on the device where you expect alerts.

How do I delete my account or request my data be removed?

Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. You will verify your phone number, then your account and profile are permanently deleted. Messages you already sent in groups may still be visible to other members. You can also email support@muteiny.com from the address associated with your account (or include the phone number you use to sign in).

How do I report a problem or abusive behavior?

Long-press a message and tap Report message to flag objectionable content (choose a reason). You can also tap Block sender, or open a member's profile and tap Block user. Blocking leaves direct chats with that person, hides their messages in group chats you share, and stops their notifications. They also cannot start a new chat with you or add you to groups. When blocking, you can choose Block and report if they violated our guidelines. Email support@muteiny.com for other issues. We review reports within 24 hours.

How does Muteiny use my contacts?

Contacts are optional. Before requesting access, the app explains how contacts are used. Your full address book stays on your device — we do not upload it. Only people you explicitly invite are shared with Muteiny. See our Privacy Policy for details.
