Join the beta
iPhone / iPad
Use your iPhone or iPad for both steps — these links won't work on a computer.
- Step 1: If you don't have TestFlight yet, click here to install TestFlight (it's free from Apple).
- Step 2: After TestFlight is installed, click here to install Muteiny. TestFlight will open — tap Accept, then Install.
Android
Do these three steps in order. Each one opens in your browser.
Important: You must join the Google Group on the Google Groups page before the Play Store steps will work.
- Step 1 — Join the Google Group: Open the Muteiny Android Beta Testers group. On that page, tap Join group (or Ask to join) and sign in with your Google account if asked. Don't skip this — you won't be able to install the beta until you've joined the group here.
- Step 2: Wait a minute or two, then click here to become a tester. Tap Become a tester. You may see an option to install the app right away.
- Step 3: If the app didn't install in step 2, click here to download Muteiny from the Play Store.
Play Store says the app can't be found? See Android troubleshooting.
Android troubleshooting
1. Use the same Google account for every step
Join the Google Group, become a tester, and open the Play Store with the same Google account. In the Play Store app, tap your profile picture and confirm the account matches the one you used in steps 1 and 2 — then open the download link again (don't search for Muteiny by name).
2. Finish “Become a tester”
Open the tester page and confirm it says you're a tester. If it still asks you to join, tap Become a tester, wait a few minutes, then use the download link again.
3. Don't search — use the direct download link
Closed betas usually don't show up in Play Store search. Use this download link from your phone after you're a tester.
4. Wait, then refresh Play Store
After joining, it can take a few minutes (sometimes longer). Force-stop the Play Store app, clear its cache in Android Settings if needed, reopen the download link, and try again.
5. Avoid work or school Google accounts
Managed accounts (work/school) often can't install personal closed tests. Switch to a personal Gmail account for the Google Group, tester page, and Play Store, then retry the steps.
